Brasilia, 1 August 2022 - The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Brazil launched the registrations for the Technology Hacking for Integrity Marathon, which will take place on 24-25 September 2022, in the city of São Paulo.

The action takes place within the scope of UNDOC's Global Action for Integrity in Business, financed by Siemens Integrity Initiative and with support from the Municipal Secretariat for Human Rights and Citizenship and the Municipal Secretariat for International Relations of São Paulo, the Municipal Comptroller General of São Paulo, Sebrae for Startups, the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Research Industries, and Interfarma.

For the first time in Latin America, a UNODC field office is holding the Coding for Integrity event, with the purpose of finding creative solutions to promote corporate integrity through technologies. The marathon will also promote the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) through the enhancement of public-private partnerships in the development of sustainable anti-corruption solutions based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), youth engagement and employment, innovation, and technology.
