Student assessment

 

This section provides suggestions for post-class assignments for the purpose of assessing student understanding of the Module. Suggestions for pre-class or in-class assignments are provided in the Exercises section.

It proposed that students identify a real-life illustrative example (court case, NGO report or press release) evidencing how smuggled migrants' rights were respected and/or breached. Students should address issues such as applicable national and/or international law, States obligations, involvement (or opportunity for involvement) of NGOs. The essay should not be longer than 2,500 words. The essay should be submitted during the next class.
