Violence against children (VAC) is defined very broadly in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) (GA Resolution 44/25) to include "all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse" (1989, article 19).
The Module is structured into six topics:
