UNODC, under the E4J initiative, held an Expert Workshop for university lecturers at the University of Ghana, Accra, on 19-21 February 2019. The workshop was organized with the support of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ghana, the Allan Gray Centre for Leadership Ethics at Rhodes University in South Africa, and the UNODC regional office in Senegal. The objective of the Workshop was to bring together university lecturers, in their individual capacity, in order to enhance their capacity to teach on integrity and ethics. After the workshop, each participant is expected to teach at least one of the Modules in their ongoing courses. They will provide UNODC with feedback about their experience of teaching the modules, thus helping the Organization to continuously improve the materials and its support for integrity and ethics education worldwide.
Having recently completed the development of the E4J University Modules on Integrity and Ethics, UNODC is now focusing on rolling them out and engaging as many universities and academics as possible to strengthen integrity and ethics education worldwide. The Expert Workshop was a key part of this endeavour. The Modules and an associated Teaching Guide are freely available on the E4J website.
