In the context of the E4J initiative, UNODC held an Expert Workshop for university lecturers from Asia-Pacific at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand, on 25-27 June 2019. The workshop was organized in partnership with the Faculty of Economics at Thammasat University, which not only hosted but also co-funded and co-organized the event. Further support was provided by the UNODC regional office in Thailand.
The Workshop brought together 27 lecturers, in their individual capacity, to enhance their familiarity with the E4J University Modules on Integrity and Ethics. Prior to the workshop, the participants were asked to adapt and teach the 3-hour Modules as part of their ongoing courses. At the workshop, they discussed and reflected on their experiences of working with the Modules. In particular, during the three-day meeting, participants:
Having recently completed the development of the E4J University Modules on Integrity and Ethics, UNODC is now focusing on implementing them and engaging as many universities and academics as possible to strengthen integrity and ethics education worldwide. The Expert Workshop is a key part of this endeavour.
The views and experiences shared by the participants at the Workshop inform UNODC's efforts to continuously improve the Modules and related tools and activities, and to enhance its support for integrity and ethics education worldwide.
