Student assessment

 

This section provides suggestions for post-class assignments for the purpose of assessing student understanding of the Module. Suggestions for pre-class or in-class assignments are provided in the Exercises section.

The case studies are a good way to assess whether students have internalized the information provided in the teaching.

In addition, following the Module, possible essay questions could cover the following issues:

• Does human rights law make it difficult for the police to do their job effectively?
• Should law enforcement officials be allowed to use firearms to protect property or prevent poaching?
• How can assemblies be managed/facilitated by law enforcement agencies in compliance with international human rights law?
