Conclusion
With the Internet and other digital technologies, anyone can take protected content and instantly republish and redistribute it globally. Criminal justice efforts, technological solutions to limit unauthorized access to intellectual property, and education campaigns have been proposed as solutions to cyber-enabled intellectual property crime. Despite national, regional, and international legal and regulatory efforts, the simplicity, ease, and inexpensive nature of replicating, storing, distributing, and/or otherwise making available of intellectual property have made efforts to investigate and prosecute perpetrators of these cybercrimes and the prevention of these cybercrimes particularly challenging for relevant authorities and agencies worldwide.
