Guidelines to develop a stand-alone course
The topics presented in this Module provide a good basis for a stand-alone course, with each topic providing the subject matter of one or more Modules within the course. The first four topics should be covered in the order in which they appear. Ideally, the remaining four topics should then be covered in the order in which they appear, although this may be varied, or topics added or removed according to local priorities, needs or interests.
Additional reading would need to be assigned, and this may be taken from the Advanced Reading section, complemented by any relevant local materials.
The Possible Class Structure would require modification to take account of how the topic is to be covered. Some suggested group exercises and case studies are included in the respective sections, as are some suggestions for Student Assessments.
