Regional approach

Colombia, due to its geographic and cultural diversity, can be viewed as a country made up of regions. In each one of these regions, the production chain for coca leaf undergoes different socio-spatial transformations to maintain the dynamic of the production process. The regional approach allows for a greater understanding of this dynamic and provides integrated, timely and focused information that informs policies regarding the local mitigation of coca crops.
