In its resolution 7/1, entitled "Strengthening the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Protocols thereto", the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime decided that the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons will be a constant element of the Conference.
The eleventh session of the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons will be held on 12 and 13 October 2021 in Vienna, Austria.
Information on the UNODC knowledge week on Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling, held from 4 to 8 October 2021, can be found on this webpage. The Knowledge Week aims to stimulate a discussion on the most salient issues around human trafficking and migrant smuggling with the support of experts and based on recent UNODC publications and tools. The Knowledge Week will address legal issues, gender-responsive approaches, human rights-based responses and innovative and integrated solutions from an evidence base perspective to these two forms of crime.
