The event is organized by the UNODC Civil Society Unit (CSU), with the support of the governments of Sweden, the United States, the UN Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons and the Alliance of NGOs on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
The event which is being organized in the context of the Stakeholder Engagement for UNTOC (SE4U) project aims to shed light on challenges victims of organized crime face and showcase how civil society organizations are helping to bridge the gap left by the justice system. The event will provide space for voices from people with lived experience, organizations that are at the forefront of supporting victims, and policy makers involved in crafting national and international responses to organized crime.
