Call for Proposals for Prison Reform Project in Ghana

You are part of a Civil Society Organization registered in Ghana?
You are interested in improving the situation in the prisons and of those who are released from prison in Ghana?

Then you may be eligible to receive funding and implement a joint project with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in 2024. UNODC seeks to foster engagement of Civil Society Organizations via two calls for proposals, one aiming at “Improving access to psycho-social support and arts therapy in prisons in Ghana” and one at “Improving support of persons who have been released from prison to re-integrate into society”.

How do I apply?

1. Your Civil Society Organization needs to be registered at the UN Partner Portal first

2. You have to download and complete all documents listed below (B-D) for the call you intend to apply

3. You have to submit all documents via mail to mandelarules@unodc.org before 15 December 2023 at 12 am GMT.

Submitted questions for clarification:

Question 1: Can I apply even if our Civil Society Organization is not registered in Ghana?

Answer: No, both calls for proposals are only for Civil Society Organizations registered in Ghana.

Question 2: I have registered our Civil Society Organization in the UN Partner Portal, but have not received and ID number yet. Can I proceed with the application procedure for this call for proposals?

Answer: Yes, you can proceed with the application procedure and indicate in the application form that the registration in the UN Partner Portal has been completed and that you are awaiting the ID.
