Capacity building: to improve victim identification and national referral mechanisms at the country level and better identify and safely report human trafficking cases in the context of migration flows at ports of entry, transit points, and destination communities.
Knowledge and Research: to provide law enforcement and prosecuting authorities in beneficiary countries with reliable information on the modus operandi of criminal networks and to foster development of intelligence on individuals and groups or individuals associated with human trafficking among populations migrating within the region.
International Coordination and Cooperation: to promote new investigations and prosecutions for human trafficking cases at the national and regional level that address migration flows involving Venezuelans, while liaising between National coordination mechanisms and law enforcement/prosecutors handling TIP cases across beneficiary countries.
