The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that raises awareness and galvanizes action to end violence against women and girls. Spanning from 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10th December, International Human Rights Day, this annual campaign reminds us that a brighter, violence-free future is within our reach.
The 2024 theme, “Every 10 Minutes, a Woman is Killed. #NoExcuse. UNiTE to End Violence against Women”, powerfully aligns with UNODC’s mission to build safer, more just societies.
In 2024, UNOV/UNODC joined the global campaign through several events, advocacy campaigns and other initiatives.
