Regional Conference on Fast-Tracking the UNCAC Implementation in West Africa and the Sahel
During the conference the regional anti-corruption platform for West and Sahel Africa was established that helps participating countries identify challenges and gaps in their approach of tackling corruption. Participating countries developed a plan of action including a series of ambitious activities to be implemented in the coming years to better prevent and combat corruption in four key areas: Financial investigations, whistle-blower protection, strengthening integrity systems and asset recovery.

Regional Meeting of the Platform for South America and Mexico
In 2019, the Platform for South America and Mexico to Fast- Track the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) was created through a high-level regional conference held in Cartagena, Colombia.
The purpose of this meeting was to transition the regional platform into a second phase of implementation supported by UNODC anti-corruption hub of regional and international
experts, which will continue to promote South-South cooperation, the exchange of good practices and the provision of technical assistance to participating countries, taking into account the recommendations resulting from the Implementation Review Mechanism (IRM) of UNCAC and the Follow-Up Mechanism for the Implementation of the Inter-American Convention against Corruption (MESICIC).
