In paragraph 2 of resolution 74/247, the General Assembly decided to establish the Ad Hoc Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes. Furthermore, in paragraph 10 of resolution 75/282, the General Assembly further decided to encourage the Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee to host intersessional consultations to solicit inputs from a diverse range of stakeholders on the elaboration of the draft convention.
In accordance with resolution 75/282 and the “Road map and mode of work for the Ad Hoc Committee”, annexed to the report of the first session of the Ad Hoc Committee, and paragraph 4 of the “Modalities of the participation of multi-stakeholders in the Ad Hoc Committee”, annexed to the report of the Ad Hoc Committee’s session on organizational matters, the second intersessional consultation was held on 13 and 14 June 2022 in Vienna, Austria.
Meeting times
The meetings of the second intersessional consultation were held in English from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m., Vienna time.

Format
The meetings of the second intersessional consultation were held in English only in a hybrid format by which the delegations could participate in the meeting in person (limited to a first come, first serve basis with priority given to the representatives of multi-stakeholders), through MS Teams, or by both means.
Access to the meeting
The second intersessional consultation was held in Boardroom D, C-Building, 4th floor of the Vienna International Centre (VIC). The link for participants joining remotely was shared with registered participants shortly before the event.
Registrations
The registration of delegates for the meeting was done on the self-registration platform Indico. The registration process was open until Friday, 10 June 2022 6 p.m., New York time.

The representatives of multi-stakeholders, as indicated in paragraphs 7, 8 and 9 of General Assembly resolution 75/282 (the list of other relevant non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions and the private sector, approved by the Ad Hoc Committee to participate in its work in line with paragraph 9 of General Assembly resolution 75/282, is available in Annex I of the report of the Ad Hoc Committee’s session on organizational matters) will be invited to the meeting and may serve as panellists in one of the panels of the intersessional consultations, which will address the following topics to be considered among others by the Ad Hoc Committee in its third session: “International Cooperation”, “Technical Assistance”, “Preventive Measures” and “Mechanism of Implementation”. These panels will precede discussions on the same topics.
Representatives of the organizations that fall under one of the above-mentioned categories and wish to serve as panellists may send an e-mail expressing their interest to the secretariat of the Ad Hoc Committee at cybercrimeahc@un.org, with information on the name and title of the representative, the name of the relevant organization and the topic on which they wish to present, as soon as practical and at the latest by close of business on Wednesday, 11 May 2022. Requests will be taken into account based on geographical and gender balance, and further information will be provided to those panellists in due course.
