15-18 October 2019, Ashgabat, Building the capacity of national health practitioners was at the heart of a TOT (Training of Trainers) workshop on SFP 10-14 held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The UNODC Regional Programme for Afghanistan and Neighbouring Countries organized the workshop with the engagement of 30 Turkmen teachers/SFP facilitators. During the 4-day training workshop, under the supervision of an international SFP trainer, 8 national SFP facilitators led the sessions and successfully received the TOF (Training of Facilitators) certification. Concurrently, 22 new teachers also were awarded the National SFP facilitators' certificates. Training national facilitators/trainers has immense value for the expansion of the SFP 10-14 in Turkmenistan.

The new national trainers, along with national facilitators, will lead a 7-week primary session of the SFP 10-14 for new youth and families in new schools in Ashgabat.
