My congratulations to everyone at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime on your 20th anniversary!
Well done to all staff for your hard work and commitment.
Helping justice take root is essential for preventing conflict, promoting international peace and security, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
I am proud of the support UNODC provides to countries to tackle the interlinked problems of drugs, organized crime, terrorism and corruption. I thank you for your important work to safeguard agreed UN conventions, standards and norms.
On this 20th anniversary, I reaffirm my support for UNODC, as we work together to strengthen our United Nations and help meet the challenges of our time.
