The Jaguar Parade exhibition will take place in New York City between September and October 2022 during the 77th session of the UN General Assembly and will exhibit artwork from artists worldwide with one purpose: to save the jaguars.
The second edition of the Jaguar Parade promises to transform the most iconic places of the Big Apple into open-air art galleries. Amateur and professional artists from all over the world can submit design ideas to customize the jaguar sculptures that are part of the exhibition. Submissions are available on the official event website, www.jaguarparade.com, from November 29 ,2021 to January 31, 2022.
During the Jaguar Parade event, the jaguar sculptures will be auctioned off with 100% of the net proceeds to be donated to jaguar conservation projects in many countries across Latin America.
One of the Jaguar Parade NYC 2022 edition highlights is that digital artists can also participate with digital art. The Jaguar Parade will auction these digital arts as NFTs, also generating funds for jaguar conservation.
The Jaguar Parade's first edition took place in São Paulo in 2019 and became the biggest open-air exhibition in the city's history. On this occasion, the jaguar sculptures were seen firsthand by over 10 million people, with over 100 million people reached by media coverage.
The Jaguar Parade NYC 2022 is supported by world-leading organizations in conservation such as UNDP, UNEP, UNODC, Panthera, WWF, WCS, and The Lion's Share.
