HIV and AIDS Prevention and Care
To end the AIDS epidemic by 2030, UNODC is committed to providing tailored and comprehensive technical support. This is meant to introduce and strengthen national policies on HIV prevention, treatment and care programmes. These policies target both the general community and people living and working in prisons.
UNODC’s technical assistance extends to national stakeholders involved in national responses to drugs and HIV; including civil society organizations. UNODC also supports and engages regional and economic bodies; such as the African Union, Indian Ocean Commission, East African Community, and others, on our HIV and drug use prevention and treatment mandate.
