Tehran, Iran

The Strong Families Programme (SF), developed by UNODC, is an evidence-informed family skills program designed to empower caregivers and children living in challenging settings. By strengthening the family structure and functions, SF aims to prevent drug use, violence, and other negative social consequences in children aged between 8 and 15 years.

Building upon the successful pilot implementation in Tehran and Alborz provinces, the SF Programme is now expanding its reach. We are seeking proposals from institutions to conduct an effectiveness evaluation in the following provinces: Hormozgan, Lorestan, Kerman, Khorasan Razavi, Khuzestan, Sistan & Baluchistan, and Tehran.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MoHME) and in collaboration with the Iranian Drug Control Headquarters (DCHQ), this evaluation exercise will assess the impact of the SF Programme implementation.

We invite institutions with expertise in developing evaluation methodologies and a commitment to evidence-based practices to submit their proposals. The selected institution will play a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness of the SF Programme and its ability to improve family skills and prevent drug use and violence.

Please note that the Proposal Submission Deadline is 27 May 2024.
