New Delhi/November 12, 2018: Presenting the latest edition of  Odyssey-a special news bulletin showcasing all the work we have been doing to promote security, justice and health in South Asia!

This edition features a range of impactful initiatives spearheaded by UNODC South Asia over the last few months, such as:

  • Engagement with the Government of Punjab (India) to address drug abuse and illicit trafficking in the state
  • Using  Virtual Reality tools to address trafficking in persons
  • Engaging the youth to promote the SDGs, peace and human rights through the  Education for Justiceprogram
  • Countering illicit trafficking through the  Container Control Program
  • Strengthening  Partnerships with governments, civil society and UN agencies to address gender-based violence, HIV/AIDS, violent extremism, trafficking in persons and prison reforms.
  • Enhancing responses to address crimes at sea through the  Global Maritime Crime Program
  • Bringing together  South Asia's top government agencies to counter the illicit trafficking of Afghan Opiates 
  • Combating human rights violations in healthcare settings
  • Building business partnerships with corporates and government agencies to  foster impact-oriented investments in the development sector
  • Convening leading opinion makers, celebrities and thematic experts on issues of relevance for the region
