Maldives: Maritime Domain Awareness assessment to Marine Police in the Maldives

Dhoonidhoo, Maldives/08 June 2022: A meeting with Marine Police – Maldives Police Service was held in Dhoonidhoo with a view to prepare the officers with the objectives of 2nd Maritime Domain Awareness Interagency Workshop to be held on 20 June 2022.

As part of this preparation, UNODC Maritime Expert led discussions on gaps in terms of capacity and division of government institutions’ roles in terms of maritime crime.

The Head of Marine Police and senior officers participated in the event.
