Inter-agency Initiative

In 2023, a consortium of UN agencies, UNFPAUN WomenUNODCWHOUNDP, and IOM launched the first-ever inter-agency initiative in Ukraine to respond to conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) as part of the UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict.

The project 'UNited Action to Empower Survivors of CRSV' aims to strengthen national and community mechanisms for preventing and responding to conflict-related sexual violence in Ukraine through a survivor-focused and multi-sectoral approach.

UNODC in Ukraine is the lead agency to support the implementation of effective rights-based investigation and prosecution of trafficking in persons (TIP) for sexual exploitation by criminal justice practitioners, and to ensure the quality of legal and health services available to victims of human trafficking for sexual exploitation.
