UNODC Brazil participated in a CNMP event on challenges and opportunities for the Brazilian socio-educational system
Brasilia, 11 March, 2022 - The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) participated with other United Nations agencies in a meeting sponsored by the National Council of the Public Ministry (CNMP) to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the Brazilian socio-educational system.
The event was entitled "Meeting of Integration of the Justice System by the Socio-Educational Policy".
During the event, the theme of protection and accountability of adolescents in conflict with the law in Brazil and the socio-educational system was discussed based on the debates held in the workshop "The Socio-Educational System and the Protection of Adolescents: subsidies for the Performance of the Brazilian Public Prosecutor's Office", promoted by the UNODC Vienna Global Programme for the Elimination of Violence against Children, in partnership with the CNMP, COPEIJ/GNDH/CNPG and PROINFÂNCIA.
In the afternoon, the "Dialogue Table 2: UN Organizations, National Coordination of SINASE and General Coordination of Socioeducational Measures and Intersectoral Policies of the Ministry of Citizenship" took place.
