Brasília, 31 March, 2017 - The CBF + Health Workshop took place today at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center in Brasilia.
The event was promoted by CBF-Social, the Sports, Tourism and Leisure Secretariat, the Home Hospital, the CBF National Football Physicians Committee and the Federal District Football Federation.
The aim of the event was to promote a discussion with students and professionals associated with sports on the main themes related to health, management and development of football.
UNODC Programme 'Line Up Live Up' works on building life skills for young people from communities in a vulnerable position. "This program seeks to build resilience for youth at-risk, specifically by using sport as a way to reduce antisocial behavior, and to teach skills for youth's life involving local communities and working in sports centers and schools," said UNODC Representative of Liaison and Partnership Office in Brazil, Rafael Franzini.
The methodology tests of the 'Line up Live Up' Programme were initiated in Sports Centers of the Federal District and Rio de Janeiro. The Programme should be implemented in other Brazilian states, as well as in other countries of the region, South Africa and Asia.
UNODC is contacting CBF to implement common awareness-raising activities in the context of the Doha Declaration Global Programme.
