UNODC and CGU give award prizes to the winners of Minute and Jingles and Spots Contests
08 December, 2010 - The Comptroller General of the Brazilian Union (CGU) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Brazil and Southern Cone delivered this Thursday, December 9, International Day Against Corruption, the award prizes of the 2
nd Minute Contest and the 1
st Jingles and Spots Contest.
This year both contests had as a theme "Participation and Social Control: The exercise of citizenship doesn´t end after voting". The criteria for selection of the proposals were creativity, script, technical quality, language and relevance to the topic.
The winners were able to develop, in a positive and different way, stories able to promote discussion and reflection on the importance of the active participation of all citizens in the monitoring and control of public administration as a way to concretize citizenship and democracy.
The first place in each competition will receive U.S. $ 3,000.00, second place, USD $ 1,700.00 and third place, U.S. $ 1,100.00.
