School Award 2010 keeps registration open until August 31st

Primary education and lower secondary education students - including adult and youth education students - can register, until August 31st, for "School Award 2010", a nationwide contest that will choose the best comic strips on themes of the Health and Prevention at School Program: sexual infection diseases, aids, unplanned pregnancy and drugs abuse.

The award aims to encourage school teachers to promote education for sexuality in schools through the comic contest. The award is an initiative of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Unite Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in partnership with the Department of STD, AIDS and Viral Hepatitis of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
