14th UN Crime Congress – Kyoto, Japan (hybrid format) – 7-12 March 2021
The 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is being held from 7 to 12 March 2021 in Kyoto, Japan. The event is organized in a hybrid format with online participation along with restricted in-person elements. The Crime Congress is the world's largest and most diverse gathering of policymakers, practitioners, academia, intergovernmental organizations and civil society in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice.
The Global Programme for the Implementation of the Doha Declaration
Adopted at the conclusion of the 13th Crime Congress held in the State of Qatar in 2015, the Doha Declaration has at its centre the understanding that the rule of law and sustainable development are interrelated and mutually reinforcing.
To put this into reality, UNODC launched an ambitious Global Programme to help countries achieve a sustainable impact on the rule of law. Made possible thanks to the support of the State of Qatar, the Global Programme focuses on four interrelated components:
