The 2022 International Anti-Corruption Day: Join the global action against corruption
The 2022 International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) on 9 December highlighted the crucial link between anti-corruption and peace, security, and development, and emphasized that only through cooperation and the involvement of each and every person and institution can we overcome the negative impact of this crime.
The theme of this year’s IACD was “UNCAC at 20: Uniting the World Against Corruption”, promoting the upcoming twentieth anniversary in 2023 of the only legally binding universal anti-corruption instrument in the world - the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
Article 11 of UNCAC recognizes judges’ crucial role in preventing and combatting corruption and the importance of strengthening judicial integrity. Therefore, please join us over the next year in promoting the implementation of UNCAC and building a world #UnitedAgainstCorruption.
