UNODC’s crime prevention and criminal justice projects aim to promote the application of standards, provide technical assistance to governments, and strengthen cooperation between criminal justice systems and other sectors of society. This thematic area represents the second most important (by value) in the current EU-UNODC project portfolio and includes both multi-country and national projects in all regions of the world. Rule of law, access to justice, e-justice, alternatives to imprisonment, and preventing violence against women and children are key topics of ongoing cooperation.
