BEIJING, China - January 2014. On 11 November 2013, the Food and Drug Administration announced the addition of several new psychoactive substances to Annex 2 of the list of controlled drugs. Substances placed under control include, BZP, JWH-073, Khat, 2C-I, 2C-H, AM-694, AM-2201, JWH-250, MDPV, 4-MEC, methylone and JWH-018. Control over these substances is in force since January 1, 2014. Mephedrone is another new psychoactive substance that is controlled in China (see Announcment of the Food and Drug Administration "mephedrone regulated as psychotropic substances", 2010-08-06).
