A number of groups of synthetic cannabinoids have been put under control, adding them to schedules 1,2,5,6,7,8 of Law 14/1995 concerning countering narcotic and psychotropic substances, in addition to varied metabolites of these substances. A collection of all non medically used synthetic cannabinoids based on the chemical composition of each substance has been added to schedule 1 of narcotic substances of Law 14/1995 (naphthoylindoles, naphthylmethylindoles, metabolites Naphthoylpyrroles, Naphthylmethylindenes & metabolites, Phenylacetylindoles, Cyclohexylphenols, Classical cannabinoids), while a collection of all medically used synthetic cannabinoids based on the chemical composition of each substance has been added to schedule 6 of narcotic substances of same law (nabylone). Benzodiazepines such as diclazepam, etizolam, flubromazepam, and pyrazolam have also been placed under national control.
