Indonesia launched its Early Warning System (EWS) in 2023. The EWS Indonesia is organized by National Narcotics Board (BNN) of the Republic of Indonesia, acting as a focal point in collecting, analyzing and enriching information provided by EWS stakeholders including forensic laboratories, law enforcement officials, and health professionals among other expert. 

The EWS provides access to information about NPS that is intended for the public, including new substances that are identified for the first time in the region, modes of discovery of new NPS substances, dangerous additional ingredients and unusual concentrations.
