Since 2004, a number of new psychoactive substances have been added to the list of narcotic drugs BGBI. I Nr 112/1997. For instance, PMMA was added to this list in 2004 (BGBI II Nr. 136/2004), TMA-2 was added in 2006 (BGBI II Nr. 227/2006), BZP in 2009 (BGBI II Nr. 173/2009) and mephedrone in 2010 (BGBI.II Nr 264/2010).
