August 2015 - UNODC EWA: Fifteen novel synthetic cannabinoids reported to UNODC EWA since the beginning of the year

From the beginning of the year, 50 new substances were reported to the UNODC EWA for the first time by direct submissions of laboratories, data sharing agreements with international and regional organisations* and by laboratories participating in the International Collaborative Exercises (ICE) programme. Of these newly reported substances, 15 were novel synthetic cannabinoids, 13 of which contain the amide linking group, first seen in APINACA reported to the UNODC EWA in 2012.
