GENEVA, Switzerland – July 2015: The WHO evaluates the dependence-producing properties and harm to health of psychoactive substances. Recommendations from the WHO on whether or not these substances should be placed under international control are made to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and are subject to a vote by the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND). The 37th meeting of the Expert Committee on Drug Dependence, which will take place in Geneva from 16 to 20 November, will consider nine substances for review:
1. MT-45
2. Acetyl fentanyl
3. α-Pyrrolidinovalerophenone (alpha-PVP)
4. 4-Fluoroamphetamine (4-FA)
5. para-methyl-4-methylaminorex (4,4'-DMAR)
6. para-Methoxymethamphetamine (PMMA)
7. Etizolam
8. Phenazepam
9. Methoxetamine (MXE)
