Overview

The Challenge:

Countries within the Greater-Mekong Sub-region (GMS) continue to report increases in the use of methamphetamine, and several countries rank methamphetamine as the leading drug of use. China, Malaysia, Myanmar and Viet Nam still report heroin as the number one problem. Injecting drug use is an increasing concern, with an estimated 2.9 million people who inject drugs in Southeast Asia.
